VitalMedix is the world’s first AI Health Assistant purposefully designed by doctors and researchers to continously protect the health of Seniors
By continuously (24/7) documenting and protecting the health and wellbeing of Seniors. The emergency button for older people is automatically activated by the integrated AI MIA (Medical Interactive Assistant. Especially those of advanced age, VitalMedix provides the best possible support for vitality, independence and quality of life.
See how it works:
The functions of VitalMedix are controlled by the integrated Artificial Intelligence "MIA" (Medical Interactive Assistant), an AI Emergency & Health Companion designed and approved by leading doctors. MIA uses the latest clinical evidence and guidelines to improve health safely and ethically.
If the Senior falls, MIA detects the incident and triggers an Automated Emergency SOS Alert, contacting the Senior via voice. Relatives, carers, medical professionals, and emergency services (if needed) are promptly notified. MIA then follows up with the Senior to ensure help has arrived.
MIA regularly contacts the Senior and talks to them to assess and protect their wellbeing, including their physical and mental health. MIA also provides guidance such as tips for falls prevention and maintaining the right levels of hydration.
Based on the wearable's health data and the users’ responses, MIA recognises patterns or anomalies, especially falls, and takes immediate action by calling and alerting the Senior, relatives, carers and healthcare professionals.
VitalMedix continuously documents vital data from the user and has an automatic emergency function for contacting relatives and carers. MIA records the user's heart rate, blood pressure and blood oxygen saturation. In the event of abnormal patterns or values, MIA calls the Senior, checks their wellbeing and notifies relatives and carers if necessary.
VitalMedix was developed to reduce unnecessary falls, hospitalisation, premature morbidity and mortality. MIA helps Seniors stay mobile by motivating them to do simple excercises (evidence and guideline-based) and balance programmes. MIA continuously documents the Senior's movement (number of steps, stability when walking). If there is little movement, it alerts the Senior and motivates them to move more. If movement patterns are very unusual, it alerts the family or carer.
VitalMedix promotes happiness and cognitive skills through brain training. Key features include maintaining communication and connection with relatives and caregivers. MIA, the assistant, regularly calls Seniors to assess their mental health by asking questions. Based on their responses, MIA can detect signs of depression or loneliness, offer tips and suggestions, and alert family or caregivers if needed. With access to a camera, MIA can also monitor emotions through facial expressions. Additionally, MIA calls Seniors on a weekly basis, asking them engaging questions and playing games to enhance their memory and mental fitness.
Adhering to international guidelines, optimal nutrition and hydration are crucial for maintaining health in ageing. MIA keeps Seniors informed by regularly asking questions like urine color and dry mouth to detect dehydration, alerting families and caregivers if necessary. VitalMedix monitors the senior's BMI, recognizing the link between low BMI (or sarcopenia) and higher morbidity and mortality. It provides tailored diet and protein intake recommendations to achieve an age-appropriate BMI, following the 2022 ESPEN guidelines for nutrition and hydration in geriatrics.
Our AI Health Technology is carefully designed and validated by doctors and researchers, based on state-of-art clinical evidence and guidelines, ensuring that safe, ethical and regulated AI is used to enhance human lives.
